SWT: Hello In Elephant
Background: Elephants are one of the most human-like creatures on the planet, sharing our emotional intelligence and sophisticated communication. However, they are endangered, with their language facing extinction. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and ElephantVoices joined forces to develop a website that translates elephant language and raises awareness about the species' plight.
Solution: We utilised React for the web application and lotti for animation and interactivity on the website, incorporating animations that bring elephants to life. A TensorFlow sentiment classifier was trained on key emotional concepts that both elephants and humans can understand, allowing users to interact with the website in a way that's both intuitive and emotive.
Key Features:
- Handbar.js Animations: Created engaging animations that simulate elephant behavior and interactions.
- TensorFlow Sentiment Classifier: Analyzed user emotions and provided personalised experiences based on their emotional responses.
- Elephant Language Translation: Translated elephant language into human-understandable phrases, allowing users to interact with the website in a way that's both intuitive and emotive.
Impact: The Hello in Elephant website has been instrumental in raising awareness about the endangered elephant language and habitat. We created an immersive experience that drives engagement and donations to support conservation efforts.
